What I wore for rush
Friday, January 31, 2014
As you probably saw in this post, (or
insta, or twitter) my bid day was on Sunday! I’m officially a DELTA DELTA
DELTA. I am so lucky to join an amazing sisterhood of girls who I know will inspire
me daily.
I am thrilled with the outcome,
however the process to get to bid day was extremely stressful. I’m not one
for loud rooms or small talk, so it was a pretty overwhelming process for
me. Now that I’m done however, I totally understand why they use the
system they do.
The hardest part was seeing my friends
upset and crying because they didn’t get invited back to the sorority they
wanted or didn’t get the bid they wanted. The whole process was a lot more
emotional than I thought. Despite that being said, I am 100% confident that
everyone ended up where they belong. The system really does work and now that
we have all settled into our new Sororities, the benefits are beyond
explanation! An instant sisterhood can impact your college experience in
ways I am just now discovering!
I tried to plan my outfits before coming
back to school to take some of the stress away. It’s so hard with winter Rush
because you can’t just throw on a cute summer dress! It was pretty cold both
weekends, and we had to walk outside a lot, so I always wore a thick peacoat
and then took it off right before my round!
I tried to wear
things that showed my personality but also made a statement! Yet, it
was equally important to include classic pieces that would be comfortable
all day. I got a few emails asking me what I was wearing each day for rush so I
thought I would make a post out of it!
Day 1: We all had to wear our recruitment t-shirt so I tried to make myself stand out with my Lilly scarf!
Day 2: This day was pretty casual so I went with my Lilly elsa top!
Day 3: Absolutely obsessed with this Tuckernuck dress!
Day 4: Pref Teas!
What did you wear for rush?
Remember,
xoxo,
