Family Weekend Sophomore Year
Monday, September 29, 2014
My family rolled into
Furman Friday afternoon and chaos and fun soon followed ! The car was crammed full of bags, all my fall clothes, endless amounts of
snacks, and 2 little brothers exploding out of the car.
Family weekend is one
of my favorite weekends of the entire school year! I hadn't seen my brothers or
parents since move in and I couldn’t wait to spend some time with all of them
(and go out for a nice meal where I didn't’ have to pay!!)
Friday night I was
inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, an academic honorary society. It meant so much
that my parents could be there to cheer me on! After the ceremony, we grabbed a
quick dinner at our restaurant on campus and quickly headed to the Soccer game
so my brothers could see a Furman game! Nick, my middle brother plays soccer
so that was on the top of our to-do list.
Saturday we woke up
and all met up for brunch with a few of my close friends and their families. We
ate at a big country ham house and I think I ate my weight in biscuits….you
think I’m kidding.
My sweet sister and roommate, Emilee!
After brunch we
continued our day of eating by making our way to the tridelt family tailgate. I
got to meet everyone’s family and of course we had to take a million pictures.
I ate my weight in food again. I
have absolutely no doubt I gained 10 pounds this weekend.
btw I helped paint that banner with a few other girls on my hall, doesn't it look fabulous?
The tailgate ended
right before the football game. After the game we were all sweaty and ready to change into
fresh clothes so we ran back to the hotel so my family could change before making
our way downtown to do a little shopping, eating, and ice cream!
Sunday morning we all
met to go to church and have an early lunch before my family had to get back on
the road and I had to get back to campus to get some homework done.
It was so much fun
having them here for a few days and I’m already ready for fall break in 2 weeks
to see them all again!
What did you do this
weekend?
