Not just for boys...

I have two brothers and although one is 3 years younger than me and the other 6, they are both officially taller than me. It painful for me to write that. I guess it was only a matter of time but it’s still pains me to admit that now every single member of my family is at least 2 inches taller than me. Because both of my brothers are still growing, everytime I go home I always dig through their closets to see what they have outgrown. Most of the time I end up begging one of them for something and trying to convince them it doesn't fit them so I can take it back to school with me.

Vineyard vines shep shirt? I’ll take it! Oversized button down? Hand it over! Southern tide t-shirts? That’s a no brainer!

Most of the time we walk into the women’s section of a store and never even glance in the men’s section. There are so many things in the men’s section though that can easily turn into one of your wardrobe favorites. My favorite men’s purchase? This jacket that I found on the men’s clearance rack at the J. Crew factory store and then I got it monogrammed! Sometimes it’s worth taking a peak into the men’s side before you leave!

Some of my favorites:

What are your favorite boys clothing item?

  1. I love the brightly colored plaids and the cable knit sweater. Such great choices, I'm a huge fan of clothes inspired by menswear.

  2. My brother is 8 years younger than me, but growing quickly while I remain 5"1'. I can't wait until he gets big enough for me to steal his clothes!

  3. I picked up a vintage LL Bean men's flannel and wear it all the time! I completely agree- some pieces aren't just for the boys!

  4. L.L. Bean and J. Crew chamois shirts! They are so comfy and great under vests.

  5. I totally agree! Especially winter sweaters! And the guys stuff can be better quality, not thin and flimsy, and cheaper sometimes too!

  6. Button downs and sweaters are things I always check for in the boy's/men's section. The boy's section is sometimes even better because the larger sizes fit and cost even less.
