I have been waiting
to share this super exciting news and I can’t wait any longer! Drum roll
please- I will be spending next Semester in Italy! It’s still so weird for me
to type that. It’s even weirder that I won’t be moving back into Furman housing
next semester, but I couldn’t be more excited/ overwhelmed about it!
If you remember I am
going on a short program in May with the communication program to Italy for 3
weeks but I will be returning in September and staying until December! I have
known since the moment I moved away from Europe in 7th grade that
there was no doubt in my mind that I would spend at least one semester abroad
in college, it was just about finding the right program and the right time. The
night everyone found out about study abroad trips has to be as one of the most
exciting nights of my college career yet. The thought of not getting in had me freaked
out for weeks and I finally felt like I could breathe a sigh of relief.
While it was all so
exciting it was also confusing because I had a huge decision to make. I was so
thankful to have gotten into more than one program and my mind was completely
torn. I was accepted into a program through Furman going to Brussels but I
ultimately went with my heart and signed that papers that led me to a small
town north of Venice for the fall 2015 semester.
There’s an amazing
group going and you know I already have a countdown on my phone. With a short
trip to Italy in may, 4 months spent in Italy in the fall, and some super
exciting summer plans in the works 2015 is shaping out to be an AMAZING year.
I’ve already started
researching must visit places in Europe for fabulous weekend adventures. I’ve
promised to myself that I would make the most of this opportunity and travel
every free minute I have. So any suggestions of your favorite places I would
gladly appreciate it (prepavenue@gamil.com)!
I can’t wait to blog
about my European adventure and create memories of a lifetime! If you have any
study abroad tips (or can an extreme over packer how to fit 4 months of clothes
into 2 suitcases) I would love to hear.
Make sure to follow
me on Instagram so you can see ton of pictures leading up to the big trip!
Remember,
Remember,
xoxo

I'll be sure to let you know if I work out how to fit all my stuff into two suitcases, I'm already dreading packing. I'm blogging about my experience too so you may find some tips if I come up with any on my blog www.katiesincopenhagen.blogspot.com! :)

Trust me! You can do it when it comes to packing! I packed for a whole year in 2 suitcases! Pack everything you want to bring. Then take it all out & go through it again eliminating stuff down to what you really think you will need. Then go through it one more time and do it again. It helps you narrow it down when you think about what you actually need. But do also bring a couple things from home that you might not necessarily need. It's always nice to have!
