Charleston Snaps

This past weekend I headed to one of my favorite places...Charleston! I'm obsessed with the pastel colored houses, the southern charm, the horse-drawn carriages, and the proximity to the water. It's all so perfect.

I think I decided the first time I visited Charleston (back in high school when I was touring colleges) that one day I would live in Charleston. It's the perfect little southern city with so many picturesque streets and quaint coffee shops. It's big enough that it feels like a city, but not overwhelmingly big. I haven't exactly decided when or how I'm going to live there just yet but I'm determined to one day make it happen.

My younger brother is a freshman at College of Charleston so it makes for the perfect weekend trip. Nick is now a Charleston expert so it's also convenient that I now have a built in tour guide. We had perfect 70 degree weather and although it wasn't super sunny we were just happy to spend some quality time together and wander around the city!

I didn't get in until around lunch time so we grabbed a quick lunch before heading a little farther out of town to do some quick errands (Nick doesn't have a car at school so when we're visiting we try to get some of his errands that he can't walk to done!). We spent the other half of the afternoon wandering/ shopping on King Street, going to the market, taking pictures in front of Rainbow Row, hanging out in Marion Square, and eating dinner. After dinner we decided to go to one of the Charleston Sting Ray hockey games and it ended up being soooo much fun. Nick loves hockey so he was overjoyed that we could get tickets at the last minute! We capped off the night with ice cream before calling it a night.

It was so much fun and I never wanted to leave! Unfortunately, I had to leave early Sunday morning to make it back in time to get homework done and big little reveal (more on that later)! I am so glad I made the trip because we really did have a blast together. I would have been fine staying so much longer.

I'll be back to Charleston in April for Emory's formal and you know I'm already counting down the days! Thanks for the fun visit Nick!

  1. Charleston is at the top of my girls trip list! I'd love to visit there again for more than a couple hours!

  2. So jealous of your Charleston trip! I love that sweater too!
