J.Crew New Arrivals

We first met when I was around the age of 13 on a summer trip to the mall. I was too young to know what love really was but one thing was for sure when I walked in for the first time and set my eyes on all the beautiful navy and white stripes and perfectly cuffed jeans I knew it was true. I was head over heels for a store named J.Crew.

Since that day in 8th grade, my fandom has never wavered. Today it continues to be one of my favorites stores because of the high quality and classic pieces. But unfortunately, over the years the company has taken some risks that have not turned out how they expected and have left them with decreasing sales and a plea for help. Recently though the company has taken some advantageous steps to get back to their roots.

As someone who is fascinated in the fashion industry, it's interesting to read about how the store plans to increase their sales figures in the next few fiscal quarters. If you haven't noticed, J. Crew is now sold on Nordstrom! One of their strategies to increase some sales is to sell to select wholesalers such as Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter. While seeing their products on Nordstrom's website is a result of some rough times in the company I personally love having another place to look when something is sold out on their website and where I can use my Nordstrom card!

With the CEO Mickey Drexler being replaced, and the head creative director Jenna Lyons leaving it will be interesting to watch J. Crew go through this transition and hopefully rise through the ashes and reinvent the company that so many love.

There are so many of their new arrivals that I am obsessed with and the shirt I'm wearing in this post is just one of them.  Here are some of the other new arrivals that I'm swooning over.

Shirt | Skirt (old, similar) | Shoes | Bag | Watch | Bracelet

  1. Shannon, I absolutely love this outfit on you! It couldn't be cuter!

  2. This outfit is so cute!! I need that skirt in my life.

  3. Love this outfit! And J Crew! I think it's so interesting that J Crew had/has some tougher financial times but the Factory store is doing great. It just proves that we all want to look good but not spend a fortune!
