FriYAY!

FriYAY!

Happy happy Friday friends!

If you watched my insta story yesterday, then you know that I'm headed to Columbia this weekend to go to Emory's law formal! I'm still trying to decide on a dress and ended up bringing 3 of the 4 options with me because I just couldn't decide, ha! I'm a mess.

I have a ton of different projects going on right now (some more fun than others!) and I'm excited to hopefully make a good amount of progress on those this upcoming week. This past week was nothing super exciting and spent most of my time doing homework (and watching the olympics!!). I was so pumped for our American women's hockey team!

Savannah is officially in bloom!

On my radar...

1. I really want to watch the Queer Eye For The Straight Guy remake on Nexflix, I've heard it's so good!

2. Did anyone one else watch Trading Spaces when they were younger?! Well it's coming back!

3. The new Kate Spade smart watches are so cool.

4. Did everybody hear about this fun collab with Lilly x Pottery Barn?! Can't wait to see it!

5. Obsessed with these shoes.

6. The perfect summer purse.

Enjoy your weekend!

I feel like there are two kinds of people. People who have always have a 10000 tabs on their computer open and people who get overwhelmed and only keep 3 open at a time.

This might surprise you, but despite how type A, I'm the kind of person who always has 10000 tabs open. There's always so many different ideas/ thoughts going on in my mind that I always have so many different tabs open!

When it gets a bit outrageous though, I do attempt to organize them. I'll have one window full of tabs related to one project, another window full of tabs for another project, and lastly, I'll almost always have a window full of tabs of things I have my eye on. Eventually, when I'm prepared enough to part with the idea/item, I'll close the tab or occasionally buy the product.

All these items below are just ~some~ of the items that currently open in my "shopping window," ha! I also included some other items below that aren't pictured that I'm also eyeing!

Blush on Blush

Blush on Blush

I've mentioned it before, but SCAD runs on quarters rather than semesters. It was a change for me having been on a semester schedule most of my life but I really don't mind it! The quarters go by so quickly and I'm able to fit in more classes in a year. Each quarter is 10 weeks, so this winter quarter started soon after Christmas and we're currently in week 7! With only a few weeks left of this quarter, it's getting hectic with all my final projects slowly wrapping up. We end March 16th and then have a week off for spring break before starting our spring quarter.

While it's still winter quarter, the weather has been acting more like spring! When I took these photos it was still pretty brisk in the morning but within the last week or so it's been in the 80s!!! I'm hoping this isn't just a warm front and it's actually here to stay.

As for the outfit, I've really been trying to find some great bargains. I'm obsessed with these shoes, they're are only $22!!!! I've been wanting a pair of mules but wasn't sure how much I wanted to spend on the trend so I was super excited when I found this blush pair. As for the blush coat. I have a bit of a coat obsession and probably need to cut down on the amount of outerwear I have. But I couldn't resist this one at $39!

The Perfect Pant

The Perfect Pant

One thing I've realized in the months since starting grad school is that graduate school consists of a lot of presentations. I had my fair share of presentations in undergrad but I feel like I'm having to dress up at least once a week now for some kind of school-related event now!

I'm not usually one to complain about dressing up, unless it's in the winter. I am a huge proponent of dresses and when the weather is warm enough I always reach for a dress. But in the past few months it's just been way too cold to pull off a dress and since I frequently ride my bike to class and dresses aren't ideal for the days I need to be dressed up.

Banana Republic Factory recently reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in trying out their new Devon Pant. I was skeptical at first at standing at only 5'1 that they would be way too long and would be loose everywhere else. I was seriously impressed and proved wrong when I tried them on though. They feel like you're wearing leggings and are super stretchy making them so comfortable to wear for long periods of time! I love the idea that I could dress them up with a nice top and heels for a presentation but then throw on a casual sweater and flats for dinner and a movie. Oh and did I mention...they're UNDER $50.

I picked the navy pair because almost everything in my wardrobe goes with navy but I also love this green pair! I ordered the petite size which was perfect because I got to avoid making a trip to the tailor which rarely ever happens and instead get to wear them right away! Oh and how can I forget to mention the pink trench coat...under $100 and perfect for spring.

Thank you so much Banana Republic Factory for sponsoring this post.

Three words...This is us. Who else cried their eyes out Sunday night and then again on Tuesday?! Is the show ever going to be happy again?! #CheckYourCrockPot

On another note, my mom came down and visited for a few days this week. It was so fun to have here her even if it was just for a few days. We didn't do anything too exciting as I was drowning in work, but it was great to have some company! While she was here, Elon Musk released his rocket into space and we got sucked into watching it live. It was so cool. Anybody else watch?!

Emory is coming to visit me this weekend and I'm so so so excited. It's been a while since we've seen each other and I'm looking forward to just hanging out together (and maybe trying a new restaurant?!).

My favorite thing about this week, however, was the start of the Olympics! I had on the ice skating last night while I was working and I couldn't get enough. I can't wait to watch the opening ceremony today and all the events in the coming days.

Orginal post here!
On my radar...

1. I included these shoes in this post but they're too good not to share at only $23 dollars!
2. So many great dresses on anthro right now. Love this one, this one, this one, and this one!
3. Beyond pumped about THIS
4. Jo and her cute little baby bump!
5. OBSESSED with this jacket.
6. A couture wedding dress in the making.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Deals & Steals for Spring

Deals & Steals for Spring

I've really been conscious this year how much I'm spending on new clothing. While occasionally it's okay to splurge on a piece you'll have forever, I have been trying to spend less on clothing that may not last 10 years. With that though, that doesn't mean I want what I wear to be less trendy/ adorable!

Recently though, I've been impressed the number amazing deals I've found on really cute pieces and I knew I had to share. Also is my obsession with pink noticeable?! Ha!

Scarf in the Park

Scarf in the Park

Punxsutawney Phil may have predicted 6 more weeks of winter, but I refuse to believe it. It's been just cool enough in the mornings here where a light jacket is needed but by the afternoon it's been SPECTACULAR. I'm talking low 70s! Now that is my kind of winter.

When I took these pictures a few weeks ago however, it was freezing. Hence why I'm holding gloves in one picture, ha! Luckily the weather the last few days has been nothing short of perfect and allowed me to escape homework for a few minutes to fit in some great walks through Forsyth. My mom is here visiting for a few days so we've been trying to fit in some fun touristy things in between my classes.

Forsyth is easily one of my favorite places in the city and luckily I only live a few blocks away. While the park is absolutely beautiful, my favorite part about going to the park is all the puppies!!!!!!! There are always so many dogs out playing and I can go and get my puppy fix. Some nights they even have a big dog club and let all the dog run free playing. It's so fun to watch! It also makes me want one of my own...

Anyways...I'm obsessed with this scarf and have found myself wearing it all the time this winter. Especially since my Barbour coat is easily one of my most worn pieces in my wardrobe. It's so easy to through on over sweaters and goes with so many different colors.

4 Exciting Launches

4 Exciting Launches

I try my hardest to keep on with what's going on in the blogging world. It can be hard though because there are so many fun blogs out there and so many crazy fun projects that everyone is working on. I honestly feel like I stumble upon a great new blogger every day on Instagram or Pinterest. It's so cool to follow these fabulous entrepreneurs and hear about the crazy ideas that they turn into a reality. I remember so well when the blogging world was so little and limited

There have been some super fun launches though in the past few weeks that I was really excited about and thought they were simply too good not to share with you all!

1. Oh Joy's x CalPak

Tell me these suitcases are the cutest thing you've ever seen. They come in another sunset pattern that I can't get over either. They also made this adorable hat box that I'm dying for even though I have zero plans for trips in the near future! The best part is they are super affordable and you know you're really getting a quality suitcase with Calpak. I just can't get over them!!

2. Sugar & Cloth Entertaining & Parties Line

I wish I had some sort of reason to plan a big party in my future because I would no doubt be ordering things from Sugar & Cloth's new line! The whole line is available on Amazon and I think my favorites are these blush scalloped serving plates and this set of pink plastic silverware. All of it would be perfect for a birthday party, a baby shower, or even a Valentine's Day party!

Shop the collection here!

3. Evelyn Henson's x Toss Designs

At this point, I think everyone is aware of my infinite love for everything Evelyn Henson does. I have numerous of prints hung up all over my apartment and now I'm convinced I need these new pjs. Evelyn and Toss Designs teamed up to create adorable pajamas in two different prints by Evelyn! While I love this sleep shirt, I also love the shorts (1 / 2).

While this isn't exactly a whole new project line, Grey Malin did recently launch a new collection of photographs from Santa Barbara and it may be one of my favorites to date. I love how playful it is and it doesn't hurt that there's pops of pink in almost every photo! I think this one is my favorite but this one is a very close second.

What new product lines have been on your radar?!
